Meet the Family
Adam James Swomley – President, Director of Marketing
Adam grew up in York, PA and attended York College. While at York College, in 2009, Adam started Rent 2 Home, LLC with the idea of helping renters become homeowners. After successfully operating in the city of York for three years, Adam re-tooled Rent 2 Home to be able to help people that needed to sell their home quickly and didn’t want the hassle of uncertain financing, realtor fees, and costly repairs. After 6 years in the business, Adam is an expert at helping motivated sellers through stressful situations.
Luke Swomley – Vice-President, Director of Operations
Luke graduated from Central York High School in 2010 and earned a degree in Finance at the University of Pittsburgh. He worked in the family business for two years before briefly working for a local consulting company. Luke specializes in streamlining day-to-day business activities to run the business as efficiently as possible. He is an expert at valuing properties and creating systems to make working with Rent 2 Home incredibly easy and pass maximum savings onto buyers and sellers.
Maria Swomley – Director of Customer Relations and Liquidation
Maria moved to York in 1986 after graduating with a degree in International Business focusing on Marketing from Russel Sage College in Troy, NY. She started her management career at Fulton Bank before starting a promotional products business in 1999. After successfully operating her own business, in 2009 Maria helped Adam start Rent 2 Home. She has since focused on working individually with our customers to improve their experience. Maria is an expert in customer relations and finding ways to connect Rent 2 Home with home sellers and rent-to-own buyers.
Mark Swomley – Director of Project Management
Mark moved to York in 1986 after graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He began working at BMY before moving to the Hershey Company to take on a larger role. In 2009, Mark helped Adam start Rent 2 Home because he saw inefficient rental management companies and share the idea with Adam that renters could become homeowners. He is an active member of the community and is Chairman of the Springettsbury Township Board of Supervisors. Mark is an expert in managing technology
